PEPPERMINT LEAVES (CUT & SIFTED)

Description

Our dried peppermint leaves have a crisp, sharp flavor and can be used in savory and sweet dishes. This ingredient is popular in tea and can be used with meats, poultry, fish, and desserts. They are a great addition to chilled soups and in certain spice rubs for meats, such as lamb. Mint also adds a refreshing zest to stews, casseroles, salads and cooked vegetables.

Mint leaves are packed with goodness! A serving of dried leaves has more nutrition than a serving of fresh leaves. In fact, mint leaves provide more fiber, vitamins and minerals than the comparable amount of fresh leaves.

Dried peppermint leaves add fragrance to potpourri and provide a clean, crisp scent. Boil them in water to infuse the room with their fragrance. You can also boil them with other spices and citrus rinds to experiment with scent combinations.
