Brownulated Sugar is free-flowing, drier brown sugar with a medium molasses flavor. It is the crystallized form of brown sugar so it seems more like granulated sugar. This type of sugar is also like regular brown sugar but it’s not packed and it’s less moist, making it pourable. Since it is less moist, it does not clump and is free-flowing like white sugar.
Most recipes use brownulated sugar for sprinkling. You can sprinkle brownulated sugar on cereal, fruit, pancakes, muffins or ice cream. It is also great for glazing meats, poultry or vegetables. Try using our brownulated sugar in your home-mades rubs. It has a great molasses flavor and is much easier to work with than stardard brown sugar.
Don’t substitute it with regular brown sugar because it will produce differences in texture.
