4 cups apple cider
1  bottle red wine of your choice
1/4 cup honey
Handful of MySpicer Mulling Spice to taste
4 oranges, sliced, for garnish

Combine the cider, wine, honey and mulling spice (in a cheesecloth or without depending on preference)  in a large saucepan, bring to a boil and simmer over low heat for 10 – 15 minutes.  If desired, use a fine mesh sieve to strain the wine away from the spices. Pour into mugs, add an orange peel to each and serve.

Hot Mulled Apple Cider

mulled apple ciderIngredients

1 gallon fresh cider
1/4 cup brown sugar
Tied cheese cloth of MySpicer Mulling Spice

Start by pouring the cider into a large pot on the stove or into a crockpot or slow cooker. Add the brown sugar. Place the mulling spice into your cheesecloth and tie up.  Add to the pot. Heat the cider to a boil, stirring regularly.  Once the cider boils, lower the setting to simmer for at least another 15 minutes to allow for thorough infusion of the spices. Stir occasionally. Remove the spices from the pot and ladle hot mulled cider into mugs.
